UPDATE: Since publishing my pace chart articles I've created several calculators. This is not for a beginner currently on the couch to 5k. People run half marathon races for different reasons. As the race becomes more popular, its getting easier and easier to find one near you. To begin this plan you should be able to run 10-15 miles per week and ideally will have completed at least a 10k distance recently before starting. The 13.1-mile half marathon is a hot distance. This is targeted as a beginner half marathon training program, that is beginners to running long distances, not beginners to running.
